How to get new feral cats tested for worms without leaving home?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | spayed | 1 year and 1 month old | 6 lbs

Hi! I recently took in two feral cats. The town of hempstead fixed them and vaccinated them as well as checked for aids and leukemia. I was told that all I have to do for now is have them checked for worms. What is the fastest and cheapest way to have this done? I live in Valley Stream and I don’t drive. Thanks!

The best way to check for intestinal parasites is to take a stool sample to a vet and have it tested. Perhaps you could ask a friend to drop off a sample to your vets or try to find a mobile vet that could come to your house. You could also ask your vet to just prescribe a general broad spectrum dewormer to treat the cats for parasites.
