Why is my new puppy's poop green and watery after vaccinations?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | German Shepherd | Male | neutered | 75 lbs

I have noticed that Charlie’s poop (as of today) looked kind of green but had some juices run out with it. I don’t know what the means. He just got his vaccinations and was just neutered and treated for hook worms. It feels like I’m asking a new question every day, but I’ve only had Charlie for 5 days and I’ve never had a Shepard before. I feel like i don’t know what I’m doing.

It takes time to get use to having a new puppy. And keep asking questions! Thats why we are here! :) The soft stool could be due to the dewormer and/or vaccines. I would feed him a little plain boiled boneless skinless chicken breast mixed with white rice to help settle his tummy. If he is still having soft stool tomorrow or gets worse, I would have your vet take another look at him. If he is really lethargic or not eating, I would have the emergency vet look at him. I hope this helps!
