My cat has quickly growing lumps on his back legs. Should I see a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Domestic Shorthair | Male | neutered | 2 years and 5 months old | 11 lbs

Our 2 year old tabby has what seems to be 2 connected lumps on his back legs. They feel similar to pedunculated cysts that one of my late dogs had. They move freely and don't seem to hurt him but came up quickly. We have no vet here in the bush, wanted to ask if it's something we should go to Anchorage for.

These lumps needs to be checked and analysed as there are many conditions and types of tumors that could look like that. take Toby to the vet, they will perform a fine needle aspiration on the growth and send it to the lab for analysis. when the result comes, the vet will advise what needs to be done according to the diagnosis.
