Typically dogs will give birth at 63 days, although having pups a few days early is possible. You want to watch for a temperature drop, by about 1 degree. If you have not been routinely temping her it is hard to say if this lowered temp is actually a sign of parturition. Watch her closely for nesting behaviors and contractions. She will likely give birth within the next 3-4 days. Best of luck. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

The milk can come in right after Bella gives birth, so there is no worry that her teats do not have milk right now. With that temperature, yes I would expect you could see puppies being born within 24 hours. Keep an eye on her, and if 24 hours pass with no sign of puppies, have her seen by a vet. Best of luck.

Great question! I will put a link below on stages of canine labor so you know what to look for and when to seek help. One thing to do it take Bella's temperature rectally twice a day. A dog's normal temperature is between 101-102.5F. Once it drops below 100F, she should give birth to her puppies within 24 hours. When this temperature drop happens, you can take off work to be there for her in case she needs helps. I hope this helps! https://www.2ndchance.info/caninelaborstages.htm
