Great question! You have two options with feeding Uli. There will be a daily allotment of food to be fed on her food bag, and you can either leave the food out all day for her to eat whenever she wants, or you can divide it up into two equal portions. Give one of the portions in the morning and one at night. At her age, she should still be on a kitten formulated food. Once she is 12 months of age, you can switch her to an adult food. You should feed her kitten food, canned food if possible because it adds water to her diet since most cats don't drink a ton of water. This in turn helps promote good urinary and kidney health long term. You should get a high quality kitten food such as Fromm, Hills science diet, Royal Canin, Evo or Eukanuba. Great question! Kittens are considered adults when they reach one year of age, but I'd still recommend feeding Merlin twice a day. Eating only once a day is a long time between meals, so it's best to break up her daily allotment of food into two equal portions to be fed twice a day. I hope this helps :-)

It really depends on how much she weighs. There should be a feeding guideline on the bag of cat food based on the weight of your kitten. Follow that guideline and then adjust based on her growth and weight. Split the total amount into three feedings per day.

The amount that you should feed Kuzco will vary widely depending upon the type of kitten food that you choose. Every food has a different calorie density to kibble or canned food. As she grows, the best thing you can do is to read the bag for her age and body weight, and follow the chart on the food. If you are feeding a canned diet (or a mix of canned and dry foods), reputable food companies have feeding guides on their websites for a kitten's age and body weight. Kuzco should eat a food formulated for kittens for the first year of life and then be transitioned over to an adult cat food, but anytime you make a change in diet, be sure to do so by gradually mixing the foods over 5-7 days. Since I just got Naia and her vet appointment isn't till Saturday I was wondering if 7 month old cats need special food or if they can eat adult food? Also, how much shoule I be feeding her?
Thank you for contacting Boop by Petco with your question about Maia. She need to be on a kitten formulated food. Kittens until they are the age of 12 months should be fed a kitten food to support their growth needs. Each bag of food has a different daily allotment, so feed her according the instructions on her bag of food. Brands of food I recommend include Royal Canid, Hill's Science Diet, Purina ProPlan, and Iams. I hope this helps.

You can free feed. By that, I mean leave her kitten food out all day, and she can nibble when she likes. Her kitten food will have the feeding instructions on the bag, so give her the daily recommended allotment. I hope this helps!

This is a great question! I see that Oliver is a kitten so it's not recommended to limit food since he is still growing, but it's fine to put him on a feeding schedule. On his bag of kitten food, there will be a daily recommended amount to feed him. Take that amount and divide it into two equal portions, one to feed in the morning and one to feed in the evening. Thanks for using Boop by Petco! He should be eating about 275 - 300 calories per day to continue to grow at a healthy weight. It is not based on the volume of food but more so based on the amount of calories in the food you feed him. This information should be in the back of the bag or can you feed him or possibly online. Any kitten formulation should be fine to give. Most brands have both wet and dry versions of the same foods so you can offer both without causing GI upset. If you are switching foods, gradually doing so over a period of 7-9 days can help minimize any GI upset. Most kittens should be fed 3-4 times a day and this can decrease to 2-3 once they are a bit older. The wet/dry combo can be spread out however works best for your schedule, however any wet food that is not eaten should be picked up after 15 minutes to avoid spoiling.

I can understand your dilemma here. You can try offering her 1/4 cup 3 times a day and see if his curbs her hunger. The food recommendations on the bag are more like guidelines. I would also recommend weaning her off the milk over the next week, because she is old enough where she doesn’t need it after 6 weeks of age.
