My female dog has blood in her urine but seems fine. What should I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Maltese | Female | spayed | 4 years and 10 months old | 7 lbs

Female dog had a tint of blood in her pee...she is pad train seen on pad very light in color...she seem alright like her self no different

I would recommend taking Gidget (and a sample of her urine if you can get it) in to be evaluated by your veterinarian. Blood in the urine is often indicative of a urinary tract infection and/or bladder stones. If left untreated the infection can become worse and difficult to clear up. I hope this helps.     Gidget should be examined by your veterinarian. A sterile urine sample can be collected and submitted for urinalysis and culture to definitively diagnose any infection. It is possible you caught a urinary tract infection early but your vet will need to confirm this.
