Pet's info: Dog | Jack Russell Terrier | Female | spayed | 13 years and 7 months old | 8.5 lbs
My Jack Russel now 14 yrs old has had tummy issues all her life. Her tummy or bowel rolls with the loudest noise you can hear it in another room. She shivers and won't eat anything but grass. So she will skip a whole day without eating. It is beginning to happen more often,I was told to give her pepto but it doesn't help. Direaha usually follows. If I can get her to eat a small amount of food it usually stops, but that is rare. Is there something I can do to help her when she gets this way?

This depends entirely on why the condition occurs - adverse food reactions, colitis and pancreatitis would be amongst the most common causes but there are many possibilities. A liquid feed replacer such as viyo recuperation may help to settle her bowels and promote faster recovery and changing her diet to a low fat or hydrolyzed diet would also be recommended
