My cat ate a piece small piece of milk chocolate with caramel inside. I got to her in time to see her eat it bit was unable to prevent her from swallowing. Vets around me are all closed. What should I do? Is it very serious ?

The good news is that milk chocolate is the least toxic type of chocolate, and if it was a small piece with caramel inside, there likely isn't a lot of chocolate in it and your cat should be fine. I recommend monitor her for now, and if you do see some signs of chocolate toxicity such as vomiting, lethargy, or anorexia, I would have her seen by a vet. It's likely, however, she will be just fine :-)
