My puppy has parvo. Is he out of the woods after 24 hours?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

I asked about my pup and cat flu (pravovirus) symptoms are diarea not eating. He was diagnosed with pravovirus yesterday its been 24 hrs since we were at the vet he drinks occasionally on his own but does not eat we are still force feeding. What I am intrested in knowing is after 24hrs of treatment are we somewhat out of the woods? There is no blood in his stoole but it is very watery.

Parvovirus infection is one of the most dangerous, especially in young puppies, he is definitely not out of the woods yet but if he isn't vomiting it's already a very good sign, continue with the treatment and the forced feeding until he starts getting better.
