My cat ate a cherry. Are cherries toxic for cats? When to see a vet?

I made a pineapple upside down cake and I left it out and my cat ate a cherry. Are cherries poisonous and if so should I take her to the vet?

The fruit of a cherry is considered safe for cats, but the cherry's leaves and roots are not so she should be ok. Monitor for abnormal signs, like vomiting, diarrhea, and lethargy and have her examined by a vet if you notice anything.
