Could Revolution flea treatment cause sudden death in a cat with kidney disease?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | 9 years and 1 month old

My cat was diagnosed with kidney disease. After a 12 hours hospitalization I was treating at home with antibiotics and Iv fluids. I also used revolution for his fleas. I took him back for a check and He got iron and anemia shots. He suddenly died. Was the revolution I used on him?

Do not think the revolution is involved. It is more likely to be related to an hyperacute accident, possibly an underlying cardiovascular disease (thromboembolism for example) possibly related to the kidney failure.
