How to treat scaly lesions above a stray cat's eyes without a vet?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | 15 lbs

I'd like to know how to treat a new finding on a street cat that we have fed for several years. For the past few weeks she developed scaly lesions above her eyes. They're getting worse. They're not affecting the eyes, but they look bad. I'd like to offer her relief, but we can not afford a vet

These lesions may be compatible with a skin infection due to fungal disease (ringworm), mites infestation or bacterial infection. I am afraid a veterinary check up would be needed to understand the underlying cause of it and treat appropriately. Please do not hesitate to write to us again on the forum or request a consultation (where you can upload pictures) to discuss this problem any further.
