Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Male | neutered | 1 year old
Chance has been vomiting clear, thick, foamy mucous. He's done it about 4 times within the last 8 hours. It's not more than a tablespoon amount, but any ideas as to what may be going on? He is not an excessive groomer, but he does somewhat I have his food. How can I treat him at home for inflammation?

If he is otherwise acting normal, you could withhold food for the day and then try a bland gastrointestinal diet, like i/d or you could try some boiled chicken breast and rice, for a day or two. You could also add a probiotic to his diet, like Fortiflora or Proviable. If the vomiting continues than he needs to be examined by a vet for treatment. Your vet can run lab-work and take an x-ray, if needed, to help diagnose and then prescribe medications to treat. Metronidazole, an anti-nausea medication, antacid, a gastrointestinal protectant, or other medications may help treat the problem and your vet can prescribe the appropriate medications to help. If this is a chronic condition than talk to your vet about keeping him of a hypoallergenic diet, like z/d or d/d which may help with the vomiting.
