Yes, it could be that Fadden has an eye infection. The eye is such a delicate and important structure that any problem with it is considered an emergency. That's because leaving it untreated can lead to vision loss. I would take Fadden into a vet now, who can diagnose that he does have an eye infection and can treat him for it.

Poor Fadden! Yes, this definitely sounds like it could be an eye infection. It's also possible that he may have a corneal scratch or ulcer, or other injury to the eye causing this discharge. Eye problems need to be diagnosed and treated promptly, since there is a risk of permanent damage or vision loss the longer it goes without treatment - so it would be best to have Fadden seen by a vet today if possible. If you aren't able to do this, he should be seen tomorrow morning at the latest. Your vet can examine the eye with a special stain to help determine the problem, and will prescribe appropriate medication to treat it depending on what is found.

It sounds as Louie is suffering from an eye infection, it is relatively common in dogs. you will need to take him to the vet the first chance you get, the vet will check the eyes, if it is indeed a simple eye infection your vet will prescribe an antibiotic eye drops that will probably solve the problem in no time.
