My husky has a red scratch under his eye. Should I see a vet?

My dog is 1 year 6 months old, male husky. There is a scratch under his eye where I can see redness... it happened when he was running in the garden. I am freaking out, it's the first time to happen... What can I do? Does this going to affect him?

If the scratch is on the skin under his eye and is not large or open you could clean it with warm water and watch for increased redness, swelling or discharge. If it is on the lower part of his actual eye I'd recommend seeing a veterinarian to make sure he hasn't damaged the cornea, or clear part of the eye. Prevent him from rubbing his eye as much as possible.
