Why is my puppy lethargic, won't eat, and scratching ears/face?

Hi! I'm a little worried about my puppy I hope you can help. Today he started acting funny like being very lethargic, not really touching his food and just sleeping. He also keeps scratching his one ear which he's done before and I've had to just give him some medicine. He also recently started scratching his face too and I'm a little worried he might have an infection. Please help :( thank you!

This is probably due to a severe allergy, although it could also be due to an infection or mites.

First of all, in order to rule out skin parasites, you will need to treat with a high quality flea treatment (advocate or advantage), then get him to the vet to perform a skin scrape - this might reveal an infection or a mite infestation.

If all of those came back negative, the next step is to treat the allergy symptomatically and try discovering the cause of the allergy.

The fact that is acting funny may be related to intense itch. Sometimes allergies/allergic reaction and skin infections can be related to high temperature (that would explain the lethargy and inappetence). I would suggest an immediate check up.
