My dog has black bumps on her tail and keeps scratching. What to do?

my dog is a small terrier and she has these black bumps ontop her backside right by her tail only on top. She is constantly bititng anc chewing on them and scractching. What can I get to help her be relived ? Thank you Christine

She could have a flea allergy dermatitis so you should inspect her for fleas and treat with a monthly flea prevention, like NexGard, Frontline, Advantage, etc. She could also have a problem with her anal glands and need them expressed. Have your vet take a look at her to determine if an expression is needed. Your vet can also prescribe an anti-histamine and/or corticosteroid which may help with the itching.
