my one year old female cat Tapioca was spayed only a few weeks before i got another 6 week old kitten Tootsie. Tapioca's nipples were visible to Tootsie because her fur hadnt grown back yet. Tapioca was "heavy" before we got Tootsie but now Tootsie is nursing off of Tappi. Tappi's abdomen looks swollen. Ther are no lumps. her rib cage is very "wide". Tootsie nurses everyday. Tappi produces brown discharge just like she did when she was in heat before spayed. I read about ectopic tissue. HELP

I strongly recommend you keep the two cats separated for at least 3-4weeks or place a coat on Tappi which will cover the area in order to prevent nursing and break this cycle of behavior. Constant nursong will lead to inflammation and possible infection of the glands and is a vicious cycle of stimulation and irritation
