Why is my senior cat losing hair with skin on her cheek?

My 12 yr old cat has been loosing small groups of hair but they have skin attached to them I noticed this a few years ago but it seems to be happening more often recently. She does have thiroid issues and the vet told us to give her special thiroid food because it is not that bad. P.s. this happens only in/around the middle of her right cheek, and she is an indoor cat.

She could have a skin infection and/or an allergic dermatitis. She may need an antibiotic and/or corticosteroid to help treat. It would also be a good idea to recheck her thyroid level if she hasn't had it checked in the last 6 months.
