My puppy pooped worms after deworming pill. Is this normal and safe?

Pet's info: Dog | Pit Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed | 12.4 lbs

I took my 3 month old pitbull to vet for shots and they gave me a dewormer pill which I gave her yesterday now today she pooped out a bunch of worms is she going to be OK??

Yes, Maryjane will be fine! Her pooping out worms is a sign the deworming treatment is working. She will need another deworming treatment in two weeks to make sure all of the worms are killed, then she will need one monthly until she is six months old. After that, she should be dewormed every three months :-)

    It sounds like the dewormer you gave it doing it's job. It is expelling the worms. It is important to make sure that you continue to deworm every 10 days for 2-3 treatments as there are various life cycles you need to kill off, and prevent re-infection.
