My cat is limping from a scratch. Is it broken or just a cut?

Hi my dad's cat has just come in with a scratch on his leg and is limping/not really walking (and feeling very sorry for himself I believe) my dad can't tell whether he's limping due to the cutest or due to something more serious such as a broken leg, as he doesn't have much money he doesn't want to pay for expensive emergency consultations if they're not necessary and it's something that could wait until the morning... any advice?

Poor Blinks! It is possible that he could have a broken leg, but he would also be limping because of the cut or a strained ligament. I would gently clean the cut with warm water and antiseptic soap, and keep him indoors tonight. First thing in the morning, have him seen by a vet if he's still limping.
