Why is my cat making grumbling sounds and stomach tensing?

Hi, my cat is just under a year old, beginning i believe yesturday she has started making a weird almost grumbling sound but i doesnt really sound like a cough and her stomach has been doing weird tense and release things. What could be wrong with her? Is it life threatening? Pet's info: Cat | American Shorthair | Female | unspayed | 4 lbs
