Pet's info: Cat | British Shorthair | Female | spayed
Hi my cat has just woke up from a nap and I have noticed she can't put weight on her front right paw and has it in the air all the time and if she does try and walk she is wobbling to the side . She seems to be ok when I touch her shoulder and down half her leg but when I touch paw area she is growing and trying to bite me which she never does . She is an outdoor cat but has not been out today at all . Is there any advice you could give me . Thank you

It is possible that Susie might have injured her paw. The injury could be related to the muscles or ligaments in the foot or it is possible that the bones may be fractured, depending on what happened. If Susie does not start walking on the foot, you should take her to the veterinarian to determine what kind of injury she has. Your veterinarian will also be able to prescribe pain medications and/or anti-inflammatories that will make Susie more comfortable. In the meanwhile, do not give her any human pain medications as these can sometimes be lethal to cats.
