Oh that's not good! Poor Caserta! There can be a medical cause behind this weight loss, such as kidney disease, heart disease, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, or cancer among other causes. I would have Caserta seen by a vet today, and I recommend having a physical exam, blood tests, a urinalysis, and x-rays to diagnose what is causing this weight loss. Once a cause is found, the vet can discuss treatment options with you.

That is concerning if she has lost a lot of weight and she should be examined by a vet to determine the cause. She could have an infection, parasite, kidney/liver disease, hyperthyroidism, diabetes, cancer, etc. Your vet can run lab-work and take x-rays, if needed, to help diagnose and then determine the best way to treat. Call your vet and schedule an appointment.
