My 6 year old cat has had a cough for a few months now, she does vomit maybe 3-4 times a week. Most of the time it is hairballs sometimes it may just be her food. She only eats special food from the vet urinary care for crystals in her urine 2 years ago. She doesn't appear to have any other symptoms.

I would have Ava seen by a vet for this cough. It is possible that it's due to heart problems, which can start showing in a six year old cat. She could be coughing hard enough that it is causing her to vomit. I'd recommend having a physical exam, blood tests, a urinalysis, and x-rays done to diagnose the cause of the cough, as it's not normal for a cat to have a cough for months. Once the cause is found, the vet can discuss treatment options with you.
