My cat's bite wound is getting worse after vet treatment, why?

My cat was bitten by another cast when he was out at the night, he has bitten at his leg and suddenly the same day we took him to a vet he gave an anti rabies injection and asked us to heal the wound by applying something warm on it. But still I think it is going on increasing. Pet's info: Cat | Himalayan | Male

Cat bites often become badly infected and if the wound is not healing, he has developed a fever r is otherwise unwell you should discuss the new symptoms with your vet. They may wish to prescribe an antibiotic if the wound has become infected
