My old cat has eye problems and kidney disease. Get a second opinion?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered | 11 lbs

I have a 15 year old male cat who has developed cataracts or that is what my vet says. He is also in kidney failure and high blood pressure. My vet says to leave him alone and I want to take him to the University of Tennessee vet school. What should I do?

If you want to take him to the vet school for another opinion than you should take him there. You would definitely get an expert opinion and be given all possible options available to treat your cat.
