Pet's info: Dog | American Pit Bull Terrier | Female | unspayed
Wondering if my puppy is more likely to have a sprain or broken paw/tow... Jumped at least 5 steps worth now occasionally limping... Still eating playing like crazy runs (sometimes avoiding putting her paw down) shows no sign of hurt besides when you push on it she jumps on it no problem when playing.. Looks like one or two toes may be bruised... Do not have money for an upfront vet bill.. Puppy is 6 weeks just happened thismorning anything we could do

You can try resting Luna for the next couple of days. No running, jumping, or playing. Take her out to toilet on a lead only, and bring her right back in when he's done. If she still appears painful after this time, then I would take her into the vet for an exam. The vet can diagnose where the pain is coming from, and can dictate a treatment plan for it. She may also benefit from some pain medications. Please do not give her any human pain medications, as many are toxic to dogs and can be fatal if given. I will give you some resources that may help you afford a vet if you need to see one for Luna. You can see if there is a low cost clinic in your area, or you can apply for Care Credit online. There is also an organization called Red Rover that give grants for treatment of sick animals, and you can see if you qualify for one of their grants. Best Friends also has a list of resources that offer financial assistance on their website. http://www.humanesociety.org/animals/resources/tips/trouble_affording_pet.html?credit=web_id91754962 https://www.redrover.org https://www.carecredit.com http://bestfriends.org/resources/financial-aid-pets http://lessonsfromaparalyzeddog.com/when-pet-owners-cant-afford-veterinary-bills/

Hi! Thanks for entrusting us with his care today! Lameness can be a sign of a few things that range from a muscle sprain to even a fracture. I recommend that you have him evaluated by your veterinarian so that this can be further assessed which will likely include radiographs. Treatment will be dependent on findings though at the very least pain control medications can be prescribed. In the meantime, rest him as much as possible as that in itself can help a lot. Good luck! Hoping for a speedy recovery!
