Why is my Manx cat peeing randomly on tippy toes, not squatting?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | American Bobtail | Female | spayed | 9 months and 16 days old | 7 lbs

i have a cat that is ten months old. i bottle feed her from 2 weeks of age because she was week in her hind legs. she is a manx does have a tiny little numb of a tail. she used the litter box for the longest time but then got where she was peeing randomly. she could be laying in your lap orvon the counter top. when she does it she gets on her tippy toes and it comes out she does not squat. she was spayed about a month and half ago they did a urine test it came back normal and her kidneys good.

She could have a neurological problem or an orthopedic problem with her hips. Your vet could take hip x-rays to look for abnormalities and then prescribe an anti-inflammatory if there is any evidence pain could be a contributing factor. You could also try Feliway spray if the problem could be due to anxiety and see if that helps.
