My cat ate a balloon weeks ago and is vomiting. Should I see a vet?

My cat ate a long balloon, ( the kind you make balloon animals with) two weeks ago. Yesterday, he started vomiting. I'm not sure if he pooped it out, or if he's vomiting to get it out. Do I take him to the vet or see if he passes the balloon?

If he ate the balloon two weeks ago and is now vomiting than he should be examined by a vet right away. There is a chance the balloon is causing an obstruction and your vet can take an x-ray to determine the cause. If he has an obstruction, he will need surgery to remove the balloon.
