TO: Dr. Melanie, BVSc MS. Thank you for your answer regarding the sudden passing of my dog. I forgot to add, in March of 2016, he had two different times when he was this way. I would go to feed him & he wouldn't move/lethargic, pale gums. But during those times I was able to help him & get him back to his normal self. Since he went through this again, are the episodes related, since they have the same symptoms? What could that mean since it's happened in the last 9 months? Please help me heal.

You are welcome for the answer! It could be that the episodes are related, and he may have been suffering from anemia causing the pale gums, but again, without seeing him in person, I can't say for certain. He could have had a long standing illness that would make him feel worse, then better, then worse again, ultimately taking his life. I certainly wish I could give you a more in-depth answer than that, but I do urge you to have a necropsy done on him so you can get some answers and start to heal. Again, please accept my sympathy for your loss :-(
