Pet's info: Dog | Border Collie | Male | neutered | 4 years and 11 months old | 19.5 lbs
My 5 yr old border collie had his anal glands removed 4 months ago after chronic infection to his bum, 4 weeks ago the infection started up again and he was given 2 weeks of antibiotics and 1 week of anti inflammitories, this helped it but it hasn't cured it. I am now having to cut a collar on him whilst at work & overnight as he is constantly licking it and making it sore. I wash are once a day and apply sudocreme 2X but to no avail, please help.

He could have some allergies making his rear end itchy. Talk to your vet about trying an anti-histamine or Apoquel to see if that helps with the licking. If your vet is not able to get the condition under control that you could ask for a referral to a specialist who may be able to help.
