Why is my dog's testicle skin red, flaky, and peeling? What's wrong?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Dog | Boston Terrier | Male | 2 years and 9 months old

My dog's balls are a bit red, and flakes are all over his balls as if the skin in his balls are changing. It's like a burnt eggplant where skin is chipping off.. What kind of disease is this?

It sounds as though something has caused damage to the skin of his testicles or the area is not getting proper circulation. This is very concerning and should be addressed by a veterinarian as soon as possible.
