My dog is limping on and off, but not his paw. Should I see a vet?

My dog is limping again he has nothing in his paws it happend the other day too and got better he is now laying down he can walk but with a limp

Poor CJ! He could have strained a ligament or muscle in his leg causing this limping. Given that it got better and now has gotten worse again, CJ should see a vet in the morning for a lameness exam and possibly x-rays. Tonight, I would rest him, take him out to toilet on a lead only, and bring him right back in when he's done.
