My puppy is vomiting. Could it be parvo after exposure to a sick dog?

My five month old puppy is pukeing up her food but she's drinking water and she seems fine and refuses to eat she was a rescue dog she has had a 5 in 1 shot on 12-29-16 my daughter's puppy that lives with her has parvo we took her to vet Thurs and she's fine today could my puppy have caught parvo somehow from her my daughter lives next door to me

It is possible that your dog could have caught parvo from your daughter's dog, especially if she wasn't fully vaccinated. Having her shots done less than a week ago will not have allowed enough time to occur to offer her protection, especially if it was her first vaccine. Given that she has been around a dog who has had parvo, I would take your dog into the vet immediately. Parvo is deadly, and she should be treated right away if she does have it for the best chance of survival. There is no cure for parvo, only symptomatic treatment. The vet can do a blood test to see if she does have parvo. Please take her into a vet immediately.
