My new dog won't eat his dog food but eats other things. What to do?

Question

My dog is new to the house and fr some reason has not eaten his food in 3 days.It would seem like he is sick but he eats other food other than his own.I want him to eat his own food but am worried that if he gets no other source of protein(If I don't feed him anything else) he will starve.What should I do? Pet's info: Dog | Cavalier King Charles Spaniel | Male | neutered | 4 years and 5 months old | 15 lbs

Hi there and thank you for using PetCoach to address your concern. I suspect that this could be a preference of food. I would recommend adding in chicken broth to the dog food to see if this entices his appetite more. If he still won't eat the food I would recommend switching to a new food altogether.
