Pet's info: Dog | Toy Poodle | Female | unspayed | 15 years and 1 month old | 6 lbs
Hi. We have a 15 yr old toy poodle who has been a gentle loving dog up until about a month ago. When brushing her bottom she was snapping at me. Went to vet had anal glands cleaned. She has gotten more aggressive and trying to bite if you brush her and now even sometimes when you pick her up. Had her back to vet there's nothing wrong? ? But gave pain med for anti inflammatory it's not helping. Could use some ideas we miss are sweet loving little dog!

Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! The signs you are describing sounds like Koko is having some lower back pain. This can be caused by a herniated disc, infection of the vertebra, or inflammation of the spinal cord. Your vet can perform x-rays, and refer you to a specialty hospital that can perform specialized imaging such as a CT scan or a spinal fluid tap to further distinguish what can be going on. In the meantime, I recommend trying to keep Koko as calm and quiet as possible and avoiding her jumping up/down from surfaces. I hope this helps and that all is well!
