Hello, and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach. Poor Pixi! If she’s been consistently having this issue even with diet changes, it’s time for her to get checked out by your veterinarian. She could have parasites, or an internal medicine problem such as inflammatory bowel disease or chronic pancreatitis, among other possibilities. Your vet will likely check a fecal sample looking for microscopic parasite eggs, and run bloodwork to evaluate organ function and look for evidence of anemia from her chronic GI bleeding. They’ll need to determine the underlying cause in order to recommend an effective treatment. I hope this helps and she feels better soon!
