My dog has a rash on her backside. What OTC remedies can I use?

Hello my baby has a rash on her backside, I want to say she’s had it maybe once before but it went away in its own. I’ve given her a bath last week trimmed the area the best I could. Any otc recommendations? She doesn’t seem to be in any pain, eating, playing bathroom as normal.

Keeping the area clean is the best start, so do the baths weekly. You can also alternate cortisone cream with neosporin to help with the scab and redness. You can give an over the counter anti histamine such a benadryl to help. Make sure she does not have fleas as this can cause itching and make the problem worse. This can be from an allergy to something in the environment this time of year to make it come and go. If the continues or spreads, then you will need to see a vet for antibiotics or allergy medicine
