Why is my dog not eating, vomiting, arched back, and breathing loud?

dog hasn't eating in almost now 3 days. drinking alot of water , vomits white foam now yellow bile. arched back and you can hear him breathing loud

I'm a very concerned about Max based on your description of his symptoms. He could have a very painful abdomen if his back is arched, and it's very serious he won't eat, vomits, and is breathing loudly. He could be suffering from a foreign body or pancreatitis causing his symptoms. What you have described is a medical emergency, and he needs to see a vet now. Please take him into a vet immediately for medical care. Good luck!

I think he should be seen by a vet. An arched back can be caused by pain, which could be in the muscle, bone or spine, or belly. Belly pain could be from inflammation of a major organ or from something they ingested (like a food intolerance or a foreign body). After physical examination, the vet may recommend x-rays or ultrasound to see what is going on inside the abdomen, and/or bloodwork to look values of major organs like kidneys and liver. Then once they have a better idea of the cause of Kody's symptoms, they can discuss treatments.

Poor Max! It definitely sounds like he is uncomfortable. He may be reluctant to move due to pain. Combined with vomiting, this can be due to a condition known as pancreatitis, foreign body obstruction, intestinal torsion, or toxin ingestion. I recommend having him seen by a vet right away, as he may require stabilization. Your vet can also perform x-rays and bloodwork to rule out the conditions above. It sounds as Max is suffering from a gastrointestinal condition, possibly an infection. it could also be due to ingestion of a foreign body material. i would recommend taking him to the vet the first chance you get, he will need to be checked first, if the vet thinks it's a simple gastrointestinal infection he will need an anti vomiting injection, antibiotics and a special food for a few days in order to get better.

My dog vomits yellow , doesn't want to eat , cant defecate, low energy.
Max sounds very sick at the moment. It could be he has a foreign body, may have severe GI illness, pancreatitis, or could have eaten something rotten causing his symptoms. He needs veterinary care now, this is not something you can treat with home remedies. Please take him into a vet right away. Best of luck.

Thank you for contacting Boop by Petco with your question about Max. Poor boy. He does sound pretty sick, you can try a home remedy. Feed him a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If he refuses to eat the bland diet, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away. If there isn't an ER clinic in your area, there will be a vet on call for emergencies. The information to reach that vet is found on a clinic's answering machine or website. I hope this helps!

Mt dog hasnt been eating for 6 days, he is 16 years old, only accepts water, has a bloated abdomen and is has trouble breathing, took him to the vet and his only solution was euthanizing him. Please help me
I am so sorry that Max is doing so badly! He does sound extremely ill, and I recommend getting him into another vet for a second opinion. Without seeing him in person, I can't say if there are any options for treatment, but another vet may have suggestions of things to try. I can say that from your description, he is extremely ill and unfortunately there may not be anything that can be done for him. It's very serious he won't eat, and the bloated abdomen and trouble breathing could be due to something like severe, end stage heart disease or cancer. With those symptoms, letting him go peacefully may be the best and kindest option for him. But first take him into another vet immediately for a second opinion. Poor Boris! The signs you are describing can be indicative of pancreatitis which is very uncomfortable and painful, a foreign body obstruction, toxin ingestion, or severe intestinal parasite infections. Other non-intestinal conditions such as organ failure and other infections can also cause the signs you mentioned. I recommend having Boris seen by a vet as soon as possible to determine exactly what is going on and begin the appropriate treatment.

My dog threw up 3 times while we were gone from home and now he isn't eating and is pacing, and seems to be short of breath and can't seem to get comfortable
I am so sorry Austyn is feeling so badly tonight. The safest thing to do given the severity of his signs would be to bring him to an emergency vet for evaluation. Vomiting can be caused by many things (dietary indiscretion/eating something he shouldn’t for example) and often isn’t too serious. However, given that Austyn is pacing, short of breath, and uncomfortable I worry something more serious could be going on. For example a condition called gastric dilatation and volvulus can be seen especially in large breed dogs where their stomach bloats. Or dogs can aspirate a little on the vomit which can lead to respiratory problems. If he doesn’t settle down over next the 15 minutes, or if his belly is bloated and firm, or the vomiting continues it is important to bring him right away. If his belly is soft and he settles down and he is breathing normally and his gums are pink, you could watch him closely and bring him to his vet tomorrow for evaluation. I hope austyn starts feeling better
