Blood can be found in stool from inflammation in the colon that can happen with episodes of diarrhea. There are several possible causes of diarrhea including food intolerance, parasites, viral or bacterial infection, and stress. If diarrhea continues, I recommend taking a sample of the stool to your veterinarian to have them check for parasites. For the next day or two, you can try feeding white rice and boiled chicken to see if this helps to resolve the diarrhea. A probiotic or yogurt can add some healthy bacteria back to the system. If the diarrhea becomes severe or you are seeing a lot more blood, then emergency treatment may be necessary. Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach.

Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Diarrhea can be observed with conditions such as colitis, gastroenteritis, dietary indiscretion, intestinal parasites, among many other possibilities. I recommend that you have Oscar re-evaluated by your veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. They may choose to check for other diseases other than parasites again and to start medications for diarrhea depending on the results. Even if Oscar tested negative for parasites, he could still have parasites which is why he may benefit from being on anti-parasitic medications despite a negative parasite test. Good luck! Hoping for a speedy recovery!
