Can rabbits really see well in the dark or do they struggle at night?

Cats have excellent night vision. Better than dogs. They have a part of their eye, called the tapetum lucidum (the bright part that we can see in the dark) that allows them to see much better than humans can for instance. Cats also have other physical features of their eyes that give them really great vision in general. He can see just fine and will probably be sleeping anyway awaiting your arrival home. They don't always react to hand movements. What you could do is place thumper in an unfamiliar room with some obstacles on the floor and try to see if he avoids them before he can actually feel them. Thanks for using Boop by Petco! This could have been a birth defect perhaps if it has been going on this entire time. Diarrhea can be observed with gastrointestinal parasites for example. I highly recommend that you have him evaluated by a veterinarian for further assessment and treatment. It is difficult to tell from your description whether this is a problem with Mildinka's eyesight, or perhaps a neurological issue, or perhaps she is just not interested in the food right away. I would definitely get her checked out at a vet to properly assess her symptoms. Eye problems in young rabbits can be related to a neurological parasite called Encephalozoon cuniculi. Alternatively, she could be dealing with an eye infection, or pain somewhere in her body causing low appetite. It is unfortunately hard to say for sure without a proper exam.
