my dog has sores all over belly chest legs and some other parts of body some are bleeding what could this be and could she give it to humans and how would I treat it? Pet's info: Dog | Dachshund | Female | unspayed | 15 lbs

She could have a skin infection, allergic dermatitis, mites, or an auto immune disease. She needs to be examined by a vet to determine the cause. Your vet can do a skin scrape, cytology, culture, and/or biopsy to diagnose and then determine the best way to treat. She may need an antibiotic, anti-histamine, corticosteroid, or other medications to treat. More than likely, it is not contagious but it really needs to be diagnosed to know for sure.
