Cat licking bald patches after flea/worming? How to help at home?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | British Shorthair | Female | spayed | 4 years and 4 months old | 8 lbs

Cat has 2 bald patches that she seems to lick frequently, has been fleaed and wormed, yet they persist? Don't seem to cause her discomfort on the whole, they're just very slow to improve. What can I do to help them until I can take her to a vets?

If she licks them frequently you can start by putting an e-collar around her neck, that will prevent the licking and might hep them healing by doing that. you could also put an antiseptic cream on those patches 2 times a day, but only after you put that collar on.
