My dog has a healing scratch wound near her ear, why is it itchy?

Hello Doctor Destiny. The vet checked that also and said that there's no ear infection and that's just a typical scratching wound. She seems a bit better now. Thank you for your help! Pet's info: Dog | Maltese | Female | unspayed | 3 years and 7 months old | 4 lbs

You are very welcome. It sounds like she is just having normal itchiness then. Wounds that are healing can be a bit itchy in pets, just like in people. She should be fine. : ) Just keep a close eye on the skin to make sure it heals all the way.
