My dog is lethargic, vomiting brown, and in pain. What should I do?

I have a 6 month long hair chihuahua and today in the morning I noticed that he was feeling down and looked a bit whiner thin. Everytime I would check on him he would be asleep and usually when he hears me walking towards the patio door he runs towards it but he wouldnt so any of that. I took him inside to sleep in his cage and a few minutes ago I checked on him and there was a brownish looking vomit so I cleaned him up but now hes kind of asleep but hes making soft noises as if he was in pain

Poor Guero! The vomit could be brown due to partially digested food. Vomiting in dogs could be caused by GI illness, eating something rotten, pancreatitis, or a foreign body. I would recommend trying a home remedy before having to take him into the vet. Withhold food for 12-24 hours, then feed a bland diet of boiled white meat chicken (no bones) and white rice in small amounts several times a day for a couple of days. Then slowly add back in his normal diet. If the vomiting continues in the absence of food, he vomits the bland diet, develops diarrhea, stops drinking water, starts vomiting water, or becomes very lethargic, he will need to see a vet right away.
