Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Male | neutered

my cat yesterday was neutered, and at the veterinarian prescribed an antibiotic (amoxicillin + clavilanic acid), but only managed to give him 1 tablet once, the second time, as he is still scared not let me give, scratched me, it is very important that I give him this antibiotic?

If the vet prescribed it, then yes it is important to give to Matias as prescribed. I would see if you can hide it in food to give to him, or have a friend or family member help you give it to him. If you are really struggling, give the vet who prescribed it a call and they may be able to give you a liquid antibiotic to give him, which would be easier to administrate. Good luck, I hope this helps!
