My ferret is teething, aggressive, and biting. What food can I give?

Updated On September 23rd, 2025

Pet's info: Small Animal | Unknown - Small Animal | Male | neutered | 2 months and 4 days old

One of the two ferrets is losing his teeth and being a little aggressive. Is there anything i can do to help the process not be so painful as he keeps biting my husband and I? And is there a brand of food thats easier to give while their losing their teeth. I still have one more that yet has to loose his teeth.

Thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! Teething toys such as nylabones for small dogs can be helpful. You can also moisten Bandits kibble with water or offer a small amount of canned cat food - any brand is fine, but you may want to try something specific for kittens that is high in protein.
