My cat has ear mites. What vet meds work and how much will it cost?

My cat has gotten mange, the ear kind I can't remember the name. We've tried lime sulfur dip and she still has it.. I was wondering what kinda meds a vet would prescribe even though at the moment I'm too broke to take her.. and also if you could tell me a ball park guesstimate of what the bill would be? Pet's info: Cat | Mixed Breed | Female | unspayed | 2 lbs

Hi there and thank you for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach to address your concern. Otodectes cynotis is the most common ear mite seen in cats. Revolution for cats and also Tresaderm are medications commonly used to treat ear mites in cats. If you have not had Pazoo examined yet and are wanting to know the cost for an initial workup of ear mites, I would say that the price to expect would be somewhere between $100-150 but this range varies depending on where you are at what clinics charge for services.
