My puppy's face is still swollen after vaccine. What should I do?

Pet's info: Dog | Canaan Dog | Female | unspayed | 3 months and 15 days old | 0 lbs

My dog is 3 mo. Old she recieved her first shot yesterday by vet. And after one hour her face started swelling too much I took her back to the vet and she gave her cortison shot the swelling became less but did not disappearand she can not sleep and keep on parking alot I do not know what to do please help me I am so sad for her

This type of allergic reaction, even with treatment, can take up to 48 hours to resolve completely, give it a little more time, if by tomorrow there is no improvement take her back to your vet for a second injection.

    Thanks for using Petco Pet Education Center, formerly Petcoach! She is likely experiencing an allergic reaction. This warrants veterinary evaluation as soon as possible to prevent any further propragation of these symptoms. They would be able to try to stop an allergic reaction with injectable anti-histamine medications and steroids for example. The good thing is that these tend to respond well to therapy when managed appropriately. Good luck and have a good night!
